LVCasinoInfo.com's Las Vegas Blog
Las Vegas is a city that is constantly changing, often for the better but sometimes for worse. As a Vegas fanatic as well as a news junkie, I am always trying to keep on top of what is going on in Sin City. In my blog, I will from time to time give my thoughts on all things Las Vegas.

In the early morning hours today, yet another piece of storied Las Vegas history disappeared into the desert. The Stardust was imploded with 428 pounds of TNT to make way for the horribly named "Echelon Resort." I was an avid fan of the 'dust in her last few years not so much for what it was but for what it wasn't. It wasn't Wynn or Venetian or Bellagio. The days of good, cheap food, affordable rooms and good gambling are quickly coming to an end. Vegas is now celebrity chefs, trendy nightclubs and 15 Cirque Du Soliel shows. One has to wonder when will there run out of guests willing to pay $300 a night for a hotel room and $100 for a steak. The people who were staying in all those cheap hotel rooms weren't doing it because Wynn was sold out, they were doing it because they didn't want to pay more even if they could. All that business is slowly going away to Indian casinos and the other 15 states that have casinos and the Vegas of even the near past will be gone.
